I published my first knitting pattern! A chunky cowl, or as the French call it, a snood. A while back I went to a really cool tricot-apero night, the French version of the stitch'n'bitch and I was introduced to the
Wool and the Gang yarn, super bulky yarn that knits up in no time at all. I fell in love with the red, it's the best red, although they have loads of great
colours. It's called Red Lipstick, so festive and bright. The cowl/snood is a simple design but I decided to write it out and see what happens, maybe someone will want to buy it :)
You can check it out

Special thanks to Masha for being my supermodel (in the cold!).
beautiful! (ps. i lived in nearby macon for a year and visited Lyon often! hope you get to see the fete des lumieres this weekend! drink a glass of vin chaud for me)!
ReplyDeleteThat's the plan tonight! I think it's going to snow, snowed all morning but didn't stick but it's a totally magical day! Can't wait to see the Fete des Lumieres and will hopefully post some photos next week. LOVE the vin chaud... to quote a friend who had her first yesterday 'this might be the season I become an alcoholic'.
DeleteThanks for stopping by :)
I love a snood (the word especially, I think it's fun) and this one came out beautifully! The color is perfectly festive for the holidays :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! I never knew of the word 'snood' until my french 'knit night' and I was showing it to them (a cowl to me) and they said 'ah, un snood'... it is an awesome word and cowl just doesn't live up to it anymore :)
DeleteIt looks so cozy, and I love the color. Well done!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'm actually wearing it right now cause it is so cozy... if I can't be snuggled up on the couch at home this is the best alternative. Thanks for stopping by.
